Terms of Service

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Welcome to scholgo. By creating an account or using the service in any way, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use scholgo.

1. Who can use scholgo

You can use scholgo if you’re at least 13 years old. If you’re under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to create an account. By signing up you confirm that the information you give us (email, name, academic level, etc.) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

2. What scholgo does

scholgo is a discovery + workflow tool for scholarship applications:

  • We crawl public scholarship listings + provider websites and surface them in your feed.
  • We use AI to tailor your CV and cover letter for each scholarship’s requirements.
  • We can auto-fill and submit certain application forms on your behalf.
  • We send reminders for application deadlines you choose to track.

What scholgo is not: we are not affiliated with any scholarship provider, university, government grant program, or any of the platforms we list. We don’t evaluate or vouch for any specific scholarship’s legitimacy beyond a credibility-score signal in the UI. Treat any listing as “trust but verify” — read the source page yourself before submitting your information.

3. No guarantee of awards

scholgo helps you find and apply to scholarships, but we cannot and do not guarantee that you will win any award. Scholarship decisions are made by the awarding bodies based on their own criteria. Receiving an application via scholgo does not influence their decision in any way.

4. Your content

You own everything you upload to scholgo (CV files, cover letter drafts, profile info). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the service to you. We don’t claim any rights to your content; we don’t use it to train AI models; we don’t share it with anyone outside the third-party vendors listed in our Privacy Policy.

You’re responsible for not uploading content that infringes someone else’s copyright, contains malware, or violates any law.

5. Auto-submit feature

When you ask scholgo to submit an application on your behalf, you authorise us to:

  • Use your tailored CV + cover letter + profile data to populate the application form.
  • Click “Submit” on your behalf at the time you initiate the run.
  • Capture a screenshot of the submission confirmation for your records.

You can review the prepared submission before it’s sent (the default flow); or opt into one-click submit for trusted providers. Auto-submitted applications are legally yours — you remain responsible for their content and accuracy. If you discover a mistake after submission, contact the scholarship provider directly; we cannot unsubmit on your behalf.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use scholgo to apply to scholarships using fabricated credentials, fake identities, or someone else’s information.
  • Submit applications to scholarships you know you’re ineligible for in order to game the system.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our infrastructure.
  • Use scholgo to harass providers, send spam, or violate any law.
  • Resell or rebrand scholgo without our written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We try to give a warning first, but for severe violations (fraud, abuse) we may act immediately.

7. Account suspension + termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we’re required to do so by law, or if scholgo shuts down. If we shut down the service, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a chance to export your data.

8. Pricing + payments

scholgo is currently free to use in beta. If we introduce paid tiers in the future, we will:

  • Make clear what features are free vs. paid before you upgrade.
  • Never charge you without your explicit consent.
  • Honour any commitments made to beta users (e.g. early-adopter discounts).

9. Disclaimer of warranties

scholgo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep the service reliable and accurate, but we don’t warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • The scholarship listings in your feed are exhaustive or always current.
  • Auto-submitted applications will be received or processed by the awarding body.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express and implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, scholgo’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (e.g. loss of a scholarship, missed deadline due to our downtime, reputational harm).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold scholgo harmless from any claim by a third party arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) content you upload, or (c) your misuse of the service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of scholgo after the change date counts as acceptance. If you don’t agree, please delete your account.

13. Governing law + disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany (where our infrastructure is hosted), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in good faith via email first; if that fails, the courts of Frankfurt am Main have exclusive jurisdiction, except where local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
